In 2016 Visa Singapore implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to support ERP Financial functions across its corporate IT estate. The deployment was positioned to handle mission critical transactional processing and financial reporting workloads and was supported by a dedicated team of Database and Middleware administrators operating in a highly regulated banking environment.
Oracle E-Business Suite was provisioned alongside a broader Oracle stack and associated components, including Oracle databases running 11.x, an upgrade path from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3, Oracle GRC for governance, Oracle OBIEE for business intelligence, and Oracle Hyperion for planning and consolidation workloads. Infrastructure configuration included RAC and non RAC database topologies, use of RapidClone, Autoconfig and AD utilities for EBS provisioning, Oracle WebLogic Server in Linux and Solaris environments, and Exadata based data warehouse instances configured as 4 node RAC with 4 node physical standby nodes supporting multi terabyte analytic data stores.
Integrations and operational coverage extended to security and integration layers with the implementation of OAM 11.1.2 for single sign on and SOA components for service orchestration, while the program also touched adjacent projects such as Actimize, Denodo, Collibra and Robotics Automation Process initiatives. Operational practices emphasized 24 by 7 support, real time disaster recovery testing for all supported environments and close collaboration between DBAs, middleware teams, system architects and application stakeholders to maintain data relationships and application availability.
Governance and delivery responsibilities were centralized within Corporate IT, with documented ownership for end to end delivery of database and middleware implementations, upgrades and production support. The program included escalation handling, strategic platform planning, evaluation and adoption of new database and middleware technologies, and compliance with corporate installation and operational standards to support ongoing ERP Financial operations.

In 2016, Visa Singapore implemented Oracle OBIEE to centralize enterprise reporting and analytics within its Corporate IT environment, aligning with the Analytics and BI category. The deployment targeted analytics, decision support, and activity monitoring use cases and was positioned under Platform Engineering and the Database and Middleware teams for operational ownership.
Oracle OBIEE was configured with standard BI components including the BI Server, Presentation Services, the Administration Tool driven metadata repository, and BI Publisher for formatted reporting. The implementation emphasized metadata modeling, dashboard and catalog management, role based security, scheduled publishing workflows, and cluster aware Presentation Services configuration to support high availability.
The OBIEE implementation integrated with Oracle databases and the enterprise data warehouse hosted on Oracle Exadata hardware, including multi node RAC and physical standby nodes used in disaster recovery testing. Integration points explicitly included Oracle EBS for source business data, Oracle WebLogic as the application server layer, Oracle Access Manager for single sign on, and data governance and virtualization technologies referenced in the environment such as Denodo and Collibra, plus downstream analytics feeds from Actimize and robotic automation processes.
Governance and operational processes were managed by the Platform Engineering group responsible for end to end delivery, upgrades, incident and escalation management, performance tuning, and real time DR testing across environments. Oracle OBIEE ownership sat with the Corporate IT Database and Middleware function, which standardized installation, patching, monitoring, and architecture design to support ongoing analytics and reporting consumption across the organization.
