RFgen Software Legacy RFgen Fixed Asset Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Viva Energy Group deployed RFgen Fixed Asset as its Enterprise Asset Management application to centralize fixed asset capture and barcode driven inventory workflows. The RFgen Fixed Asset implementation targeted physical asset tracking, fixed asset tagging, and mobile data capture as core functional capabilities aligned to enterprise asset management and maintenance support. RFgen Fixed Asset was configured for mobile integration with the company ERP environment and instrumented to support barcode scanning, asset tagging and label printing. The implementation design included integration points with Oracle JDEdwards for asset master and transaction synchronization, and Bartender for label and print management, with backend persistence on Oracle and SQL databases and application hosting on Oracle Weblogic and Microsoft IIS where required. Operational coverage focused on asset management and maintenance workstreams, with mobile field capture extending to on premise devices and ERP touchpoints. Configuration emphasized standard fixed asset modules for inventory, cycle counts, and transaction posting, and levered RFgen Fixed Asset capabilities for offline capture and reconciliation prior to ERP synchronization. Governance and support were managed through formal change and incident processes, including RFC and CAB participation, production support procedures, and disaster recovery planning aligned with Viva Energy Group IT operations. The rollout approach incorporated application lifecycle practices such as documentation, release coordination, and ongoing migration of on premise assets toward cloud hosted components where indicated by the application support team.
