In 2020, Vontobel deployed the platform now represented as Amundi ALTO Wealth & Distribution- Client Engagement to power its volt® active digital wealth management service for Swiss private clients. The deployment is in the Client Engagement category and was scoped to deliver digital advisory, portfolio management and client onboarding capabilities within Vontobel's private banking operations.
Vontobel used the aixigo-built volt® stack to assemble advisor-facing engagement screens, client proposal generation and automated portfolio management workflows, and the implementation is reflected under the Amundi ALTO Wealth & Distribution- Client Engagement application name following Amundi's acquisition of aixigo in November 2024. In 2015, Vontobel consolidated file, block and object storage using Hitachi Data Systems G1000 in the Servers, Storage and Networking category as part of a storage-standardization programme targeting its Swiss banking operations. The programme was scoped to simplify management and increase flexibility across the bank's storage estate.
The implementation centralized file, block and object workflows on Hitachi infrastructure, including VSP G1000 arrays, and configured standardized provisioning and scaling processes under the Hitachi Data Systems G1000 platform. Configuration work focused on unifying storage management, reducing operational fragmentation, and enabling easier capacity expansion.
Hitachi Vantara acted as the implementation partner and provided Hitachi Vantara Global Support Services during a migration of approximately 40 TB and 80 million objects. Operational coverage was focused on Vontobel's Switzerland environment and impacted core IT operations, storage administration, and backend data services for banking applications.
Governance was driven by the storage-standardization programme and executed through staged rollout and vendor supported migration activities. Reported outcomes included faster management, easier scaling, and an ROI within about one year, aligned to the standardized Hitachi Data Systems G1000 deployment.
