In 2015, Watco Companies implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits as its central Benefits Administration platform, with the project led by HR Focal Point and reported as successfully implemented. The deployment encompassed SAP SuccessFactors payroll, benefits, recruiting, on-boarding, learning modules, performance and goals, succession planning, and compensation management within the SuccessFactors suite.
The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits instance was configured to support benefits plan definitions, eligibility rules, open enrollment workflows, dependent management, and life event processing, while linking benefit deduction data to the integrated SuccessFactors payroll module. Talent and learning modules were configured to align hiring, onboarding, and learning pathways with performance and succession processes, and compensation management was instrumented alongside goal and performance workflows.
Architecturally the deployment followed a cloud delivered SAP SuccessFactors model, using Employee Central as the authoritative employee record to unify HR, payroll, talent, and benefits data. Operational scope covered HR operations, payroll, talent management, and learning teams across the United States, with the Employee Central data model serving as the central reference for Benefits Administration and adjacent HR functions.
Governance was established through a joint model between HR Focal Point and Watco HR operations, formalizing benefits enrollment approvals, data governance for employee records, and role based access for managers and HR administrators. Training and phased rollout processes supported adoption across functional teams, and the program was described as a successful enterprise deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits and associated HR modules.
