In 2017 World Wide Technology implemented Sterling Background Check as its BackGround Screening solution, deploying the application to formalize pre-employment screening within Talent Acquisition, Resourcing and HR teams. The deployment was positioned to support recruiting operations tied to WWT’s U.S. hiring footprint and to provide a centralized mechanism for ordering and adjudicating candidate screens across resourcing specialists and recruiting staff.
Sterling Background Check was configured to deliver standard background screening capabilities, including identity verification, criminal and sanctions checks, employment and education verifications, configurable screening packages, electronic candidate consent capture, and adjudication workflows. Implementation work emphasized configuration of screening packages and rules, automation of order placement and results delivery, and role-based case management to support reviewers and hiring managers.
Integrations focused on operational connectivity with applicant tracking and HR information systems to trigger screening events from recruitment workflows and to return screening outcomes into candidate records. Governance work included establishing access controls, screening policy definitions, and standardized adjudication processes for resourcing and HR users, with training directed at resourcing specialists and recruiting teams to align day-to-day screening operations with compliance and privacy requirements.

In 2018 World Wide Technology provisioned Oracle Analytics Cloud to establish a platform for Analytics and BI initiatives, executing a BI Cloud Connector proof of concept in March 2018. The engagement provisioned PaaS, DBaaS, Oracle Analytics Cloud and VPNaaS to create a cloud accessible analytics stack suitable for enterprise report development and secure data connectivity.
The implementation emphasized BI report development using Data Visualizer and OBIEE 12c, with report and canvas authoring performed in Data Visualizer Desktop and published to Oracle Analytics Cloud. Analysis and report development workflows were formalized through BI Composer, supporting data visualization, dashboarding and analytic canvas publication on the OAC platform.
Data movement and integration were a central focus, extracting transactional data from the ERP cloud Fusion platform using BI Cloud Connector BICCC into an Oracle UCM landing area, followed by extraction from the UCM file system into a data warehouse via ODI 11g. Oracle Analytics Cloud was integrated with Verica DB to support BI report development, and OBIEE 12c artifacts and visualizations were used alongside OAC authoring tools to populate the reporting layer.
Operational governance concentrated on standardized analysis and report development processes driven by BI Composer, with the VPNaaS and DBaaS provisioning supporting secure connectivity and managed database access. The configuration targeted repeatable cloud publishing workflows from Data Visualizer Desktop to Oracle Analytics Cloud, aligning technical architecture with enterprise analytics processes.
