In 2016, Ziba Design implemented Intuit QuickBooks Desktop as its ERP Financial solution. The deployment replaced Microsoft Dynamics SL and served as an interim accounting platform prior to later adoption of Deltek Vision CRM.

Intuit QuickBooks Desktop was configured to support multi-user access for the CFO and accounting team, with vendor management, check runs and reconciliation workflows established to support ongoing payables operations.
Operational coverage centered on the accounting department, where the Staff Accountant acted as the Accounts Payable lead, responsible for accessing the system to record and pay invoices and to resolve outstanding payments through communication with internal departments, vendors and contractors. Process governance changes included centralizing invoice intake and formalizing payment approval responsibilities within the accounting team to improve control and auditability.
The transition from Microsoft Dynamics SL to Intuit QuickBooks Desktop was described by staff as laborious and meticulous, and it provided an operational stepping stone before the organization moved to Deltek Vision CRM.
