American Electric Power Utilities 16330 $19.7B United States Cority Software Cority Environmental Cloud Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) 2020 n/a
In 2020, American Electric Power implemented Cority Environmental Cloud to centralize and automate environmental compliance across more than 40 sites, building on long standing use of Cority EHS since 2003. The deployment targets Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and regulatory compliance functions driven by AEP’s EHS organization, which manages programs for TRI, GHG, Title V, CCR, NPDES and other EPA requirements. Cority Environmental Cloud was configured with a compliance calendar, automated notifications, role based dashboards and mobile field capability so plant staff can mark tasks complete in real time. The implementation includes modules for emissions management, compliance task scheduling, inspection reporting such as 7 and 30 day CCR inspections and monthly SPCC checks, and automated regulatory report generation used for TRI, GHG and external ESG, GRI and CSR disclosures. Operationally the solution is integrated into AEP’s data ecosystem via Cority APIs linking seven source databases, ingesting thousands of data points per hour and executing tens of thousands of calculations continuously. Cority Environmental Cloud supports around 75 regulatory reports annually and is used across thermal plants, transmission operations and vehicle service centers, enabling centralized visibility for weekly site progress reports and EHS leadership dashboards. Governance and knowledge management were reinforced by building calculation logic, reporting templates and workflows directly in the platform, which eased staff transitions and preserved institutional knowledge. AEP reports managing 70,000 to 100,000 tasks annually through the system, avoiding an estimated $800,000 in custom development by using Cority’s SaaS model, while benefiting from continuous product enhancements and high system reliability.
Central Arizona Project (CAP) Utilities 475 $405M United States Cority Software Cority Environmental Cloud Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) 2013 n/a
In 2013, Central Arizona Project (CAP) implemented Cority Environmental Cloud. Central Arizona Project (CAP) uses Cority Environmental Cloud in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) category to manage cradle to grave waste operations along its canal system for the Environmental department. The deployment is a unified true SaaS platform that consolidates logging, barcoding, shipping and real time tracking of all waste streams. Functional capabilities implemented include waste logging and barcoding, shipment scheduling, mobile disposition workflows via myCority, attachment of waste manifests, and configurable reporting surfaced in the Cority Advanced Dashboard. Operational workflows route the types and quantities of waste from quick reports to external waste disposal vendors, then track vendor pickup and disposition status as team members mark records disposed, enter shipped dates, and attach photos of manifests from mobile devices. The implementation covers end to end waste handling along the entire canal and centralizes recordkeeping for the Environmental department. Governance and process changes replaced spreadsheets and email based tracking with standardized SaaS workflows and dashboarded monitoring. As an explicitly stated outcome, report preparation that previously took weeks can now be completed within an hour, and the Cority Advanced Dashboard provides real time visibility to track waste ready for shipment and maintain compliance time frames.
Eversource Energy Utilities 10680 $11.9B United States Cority Software Cority Environmental Cloud Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) 2021 n/a
In 2021, Eversource Energy implemented Cority Environmental Cloud as a cloud based SaaS spill reporting solution within its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) portfolio to standardize spill data collection and response across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The deployment emphasized mobility and offline data capture so environmental coordinators and dispatchers could record incidents on computers, smartphones, or tablets and have data automatically synchronize when back online. The Cority Environmental Cloud configuration delivered dynamic, state specific forms and tailored fields to accommodate differing regulatory requirements while preserving a consistent methodology across the three state territory. Implemented functional capabilities include mobile and offline data entry, real time logging and updating of spill reports, automated notifications to territory owners, and Cority driven reporting for environmental operations logistics. Operational coverage included dispatch teams, field environmental coordinators, the EAD storm room, regional patrollers, and the environmental operations logistics function, enabling the solution to handle both routine incidents and surge volumes during severe weather. The system routed calls from the toll free spill line into Cority, allowed storm room staff to enter and assign incidents directly, and produced reports used to prioritize cleanup and contractor actions. Governance and workflow were restructured so dispatch was no longer the sole creator of spill reports, environmental coordinators could create and update incidents in the field, and forms were managed centrally with state specific configuration to ensure regulatory alignment. Emergency response procedures were supported by the new reporting flow, enabling activation of the ERP and storm room staffing to be coordinated through mobile inputs and notification routing. Outcomes explicitly reported include time savings of about three to five minutes per spill response, totaling approximately 66 hours saved, and validated capacity to manage high volume events such as Hurricane Sandy through location tracking and assignment. Cority Environmental Cloud supplies Eversource Energy with mobile, flexible spill reporting capabilities aligned to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) business needs.
