Implementation scope included HR Conversion and the integration of Benefits, Talent, Compensation, Payroll and Absence modules, consolidating employee time off and leave workflows into Workday Absence Management. Workday Absence Management was configured to align with HR and payroll processes, with functional coverage for absence recording, entitlement alignment and integration points to payroll and benefits modules.
The program established a dedicated testing discipline led by a Project Test Manager from August 2015 to March 2016, located on site in Boston, Massachusetts. The testing regimen encompassed test estimates, unit testing, integration and system testing, end to end testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing, driving strategy and delivery for the testing phase.
Governance centered on cross functional coordination between HR, payroll, benefits and talent teams, with structured test phases and conversion verification to ensure data and workflow integrity. Eversource Energy Workday Absence Management Absence and Leave Management HR and Payroll reflects the relationship between the application and impacted business functions.

In 2011, Eversource Energy implemented Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite as an Asset Performance Management platform to centralize asset investment decisioning. The deployment focused on an Asset Investment Management application used to determine expense on assets and calculate ROI for utility assets.
The Asset Investment Management application was developed using C#, WPF, MVVM and Entity Framework, with persistence on Oracle and SQL Server. Configuration covered asset cost modeling, lifecycle event capture and ROI calculation workflows, and the application consumed updated event information history via ETL into the FocalPoint data store.
Integration architecture included ETL pipelines that synchronized event histories with Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite to maintain consolidated event records for analytics. A complementary application tracked access and work activity for 451 substations using IVR and a mobile/web front end built with C#, HTML5, jQuery and HighCharts, with WCF and WebMethods used for service orchestration.
Operational coverage spanned asset investment decisioning and field operations, impacting asset management, operations and workforce tracking functions. Governance was led by a technical lead who managed application architecture, ETL data governance and orchestration between desktop WPF clients, web and mobile interfaces and backend services.
