Medvet Medical | Professional Services | 3000 | $550M | United States | HMS Software | HMS TimeControl | Time and Attendance | 2021 | n/a |
In 2021, Medvet Medical implemented HMS TimeControl as its Time and Attendance application. The rollout coincided with Hospital Management Software upgrades and new hospital go-lives, with the IT organization directly participating in configuration, testing, and cutover activities. Deployment scope included clinic sites in Silicon Valley, Campbell, and Mountain View, with remote support processes established for the broader MedVet location network.
HMS TimeControl was configured to deliver core time capture, scheduling, and absence management capabilities aligned to Time and Attendance workflows. The implementation was provisioned across server and endpoint infrastructure, with IT deploying server hardware, workstations, laptops, and iPads to enable both local and mobile time entry. Configuration emphasized role based access controls and approval routing to align clinic staff timekeeping with administrative oversight.
Operational integration and governance centered on coordinated onboarding and continuity processes. IT provided new employee provisioning for HMS Software and Dayforce while maintaining VPN and email access, and maintained an on-call rotation to assist vendors connecting to resources after hours. Rollout controls included close collaboration between IT, Operations and Facilities, and clinic leadership to ensure equipment migrations and grand openings proceeded without interruption, notably during the Meridian Urgent Care site activation.

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center | Healthcare | 840 | $250M | United States | HMS Software | HMS TimeControl | Time and Attendance | 2008 | n/a |
In 2008, TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center implemented HMS TimeControl for Time and Attendance. The deployment established centralized time capture and departmental payroll coordination across radiology, front desk, file room, and human resources, with internal super users leading configuration and day to day operations.
HMS TimeControl was configured to support clock in out time capture, shift scheduling, pay code and exception handling, and an audit reporting layer for compliance with state inspection and licensure tracking. The system was used to maintain licensures, personnel files, schedule state inspections, register new equipment, and update policy and procedure books for modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and US. Configuration emphasized role based access for clinical and administrative users and physician profile setup to enable credential verification and time tracking for medical staff.
The implementation followed a transition from KRONOS to HMS TimeControl to centralize payroll workflows and to eliminate departmental timekeeping silos. The project ran in parallel with a PACS implementation, with the same super user resources coordinating cutover activities, training schedules, and operational handoffs between clinical imaging, payroll, and records teams. Operational coverage included payroll, credentialing, front desk operations, file room management, and radiology department workflows within the TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center footprint.
Governance was organized around a super user model, an education council, and a Communication Team to manage role based training, peer interviews, employee preceptorship, and ongoing system administration. Super users performed physician setup, verified credentials, ran peer review support activities for radiologists, and trained new employees on both HMS TimeControl and PACS computer systems. System administration responsibilities included film release workflows for legal requests, personnel evaluations related to timekeeping, and maintaining service reports tied to scheduled inspections.
