In 2025, Alameda County Management Employees' Association implemented Line2 App as its PBX, VoiP and Phone Systems solution to support member communications and help desk routing in Alameda County, USA. In 2020, Grenfell Ministries deployed the Line2 App to operate the National Overdose Response Service toll-free phoneline. This PBX, VoiP and Phone Systems implementation used the Line2 App to provision call routing and queue management for a volunteer-staffed crisis hotline serving Ontario and broader Canada.
The deployment centered on Line2 app inbound call handling, call-queue features, live operator monitoring, and call forwarding to enable rapid escalation during overdose events. Volunteer operators used the Line2 App interface to monitor caller status, place callers in queues, and forward or escalate calls when additional support or external emergency response was required.
Operation began as a pilot on February 1, 2020 and the service scaled to 24/7 operation on August 30, 2020, reflecting an operational rollout from pilot to continuous coverage. The implementation covered call intake, triage, and escalation workflows for crisis hotline and health and safety functions across the national service, with volunteer operations as the primary user group.
