In 2023, Inim Electronics implemented Modula Slim as part of a Warehouse Management deployment in its electronic boards department. The deployment comprises four Modula Slim units and two Modula Lift MX vertical lift modules to house electronic components, assembled boards and test materials.
The Modula Slim implementation includes Modula vertical lift module hardware, tray storage with ESD protection and industrial barcode scanners to drive pick and putaway workflows. During picking the operator scans products with a barcode reader, the WMS issues the tray retrieval to the correct compartment and enforces a FIFO approach, reducing manual handling and improving ergonomics.
Modula's Warehouse Management System integrates with Inim's ERP to extend inventory control and orchestrate automated tray retrieval, simplifying operational sequencing across production and warehouse functions. Six units now contain over 70,000 packages representing more than 1,000 unique items, enabling a 65% reduction in floor space previously occupied by conventional shelving and freeing area for new production lines.
Operational scope centers on warehouse operations and production support within the Electronic/Computer/Software Products sector, with workflows restructured around scanner driven picks, automated tray retrieval, FIFO inventory flow and ESD protected storage.
