Atlas Iron | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 600 | $1.0B | Australia | National Australia Bank | NAB Connect | AP Automation | 2014 | n/a |
In 2014 Atlas Iron implemented NAB Connect for AP Automation, establishing direct bank connectivity for accounts payable and payroll payment flows. The work created a secure, encrypted gateway between Atlas Iron's SAP All in One ERP and NAB Connect to enable automated payment submission and encrypted file exchange.
Deployment centered on a gateway integration that mapped SAP payment outputs to the NAB Connect payment channel, delivering core AP Automation capabilities such as scheduled payment transmission, secure credential provisioning, and reconciliation-ready payment files. The configuration aligned with SAP FICO and MM payment processes managed by the corporate finance function.
Execution was led by an internal project team working with National Australia Bank technical staff, with the project manager coordinating technical integration tasks and secure gateway provisioning during the April to July 2014 rollout. Operational scope covered the Finance organization, specifically Accounts Payable and Payroll payment processing, and integrated the NAB Connect bank connectivity layer into Atlas Iron's finance systems governance and payment orchestration.

Thomas Foods International | Consumer Packaged Goods | 3000 | $1.8B | Australia | National Australia Bank | NAB Connect | AP Automation | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016, Thomas Foods International implemented NAB Connect as its AP Automation platform. NAB Connect was used to centralize accounts payable activities and to provide a bank-facing payment channel for invoice settlement and payment runs.
Operational use of NAB Connect included invoice processing, preparation of payment files and initiation of electronic funds transfers. Administrative staff processed invoices in NAB Connect and entered financial data into various internal databases, while maintaining complex digital filing systems and weekly reconciliation of checks to preserve report accuracy.
The deployment covered finance and payroll functions across the TFI group, with payroll processing for eight sub-companies scheduled on weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles and payment runs coordinated through NAB Connect.
