In 2017, Air Water implemented NTT DATA Biz Project-Space as part of its Project Portfolio Management rollout within a broader next core system initiative. The program began operation of BizIntegral Accounting and BizIntegral MDM at the head office and nine regional business companies in April 2017, and a Project-Space template had been introduced in advance at Air Water Plant Engineering.
The deployment centered on core financial and operational modules, including accounting, integrated master management, project cost management, budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets, personnel and payroll, inventory and procurement, container management, and retail functions. NTT DATA Biz Project-Space was configured to support project costing and portfolio visibility consistent with Project Portfolio Management practices, while BizASTERIA was adopted as the collaboration platform and BizSales was planned for future logistics and sales functionality.
Architecture used a private cloud model with applications hosted in domestic data centers and connected from each business base, and implementation work included constructing interfaces and system infrastructure to integrate with existing site systems. NTT DATA and NTT DATA BizIntegral led the software sales, configuration and integration efforts for the next core system, and the deployment included templates and standardization artifacts to speed group rollouts.
Governance and process work focused on standardizing business rules across group companies, establishing KPIs and a management cycle for timely profit and loss visibility, and accelerating monthly closing and decision making. The program explicitly plans further introduction of the logistics system and expansion to 75 group companies, and ongoing support by NTT DATA and NTT DATA BizIntegral was identified for continued deployment and operationalization.
