Infraestruturas de Portugal | Government | 1200 | $599M | Portugal | Odoo | Odoo Asset Management | Enterprise Asset Management | 2015 | Thinkopen Solutions |
In 2015 Infraestruturas de Portugal implemented Odoo Asset Management as an Enterprise Asset Management solution to centralize control of tangible and intangible road infrastructure assets managed by the Portuguese Road Authority. The deployment targeted functions related to financing, conservation, operation and construction of roads and bridges, and aimed to provide an integrated digital archive and process optimization across the organization.
The delivery included bespoke process modelling and automation within the Odoo Asset module, and a full historical data migration covering records dating back to before 1950. Odoo modules configured and put into production included Warehouse Management, Invoicing, and Accounting including asset management, with customizations applied to meet EP specific asset lifecycle and inventory workflows.
Integration engineering provided full synchronization between Odoo Asset Management and Oracle EBS, specifically for Asset Accounting Records and Asset Purchase Invoices, enabling consistent financial posting and procurement linkage. The implementation was executed with Thinkopen Solutions as the system integrator, and the operational scope encompassed asset management, finance and accounting, warehouse operations and invoicing teams across the national road network.
Governance and rollout emphasized process alignment, traceable archival of asset-related documentation and automated workflows for asset capitalization and depreciation events. The project delivered a low CAPEX and OPEX implementation and was reported to have met defined technical and functional requirements within the planned cost, investment and schedule, with a positive degree of stakeholder satisfaction.

Kernel | Life Sciences | 105 | $15M | United States | Odoo | Odoo Asset Management | Enterprise Asset Management | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022, Kernel implemented Odoo Asset Management as part of an Enterprise Asset Management deployment to introduce automation across previously manual internal operations. The implementation formed a consolidated application footprint that replaced manual spreadsheets and ad hoc tracking with a single system for asset and operational records.
A team of developers implemented Odoo modules including Human Resources, Inventory, Accounting, Purchase, Asset Management, Equipments & Maintenance and Manufacturing. Odoo Asset Management was configured to maintain an asset register and equipment records, schedule preventive and corrective maintenance, generate work orders, and capture asset lifecycle and capitalization attributes consistent with enterprise asset management workflows. Inventory and Manufacturing modules were configured to support material reservations and link produced or consumed items to asset and maintenance transactions for improved traceability.
Operational coverage targeted business functions across operations, engineering, facilities and finance, aligning HR records to asset assignments and enabling Accounting to record capitalization and depreciation data within the same application. Purchase workflows were instrumented to link procurement of spare parts and capital equipment to maintenance work orders and asset records, reducing manual reconciliation between functions.
Governance changes included standardized asset tagging, work order approval flows and role based access control configured in Odoo to enforce accountability and prevent uncontrolled edits to asset data. The rollout emphasized process standardization and centralized operational records within Odoo Asset Management to provide a single source of truth for Kernel's equipment and maintenance management.
