In 2022, Golden 1 Credit Union deployed Q2 CentrixPIQS as a core element of a new business deposit program. The work was led by a cross functional team of business stakeholders, project managers, and solutions architects based in Sacramento, California, aligned to product, operations, compliance, and marketing stakeholders.
Q2 CentrixPIQS was configured to deliver Governance, Risk and Compliance capabilities including compliance control libraries, policy and procedure management, automated risk assessment workflows, and audit trail recording. The implementation included rules based decisioning and orchestration to support account opening and ongoing risk monitoring, aligned with standard GRC workflows and governance constructs.
Technical integration points were implemented directly with Fiserv DNA core, Q2 business online banking, and Q2 online account opening to synchronize account and onboarding data, KYC events, and account status signals. In 2019 Mercantile Bank implemented Q2 CentrixPIQS on the Q2 Platform as a targeted Governance, Risk and Compliance deployment to improve payments oversight and back office efficiency. Operational coverage spanned digital services, back office operations, product development and audit teams, and addressed discrepancies between online banking descriptions and statements produced from the core. The implementation operated in a multi vendor environment and was designed to allow Mercantile staff to remediate issues across online banking and core posting flows in real time without opening support cases.
Governance and workflow changes included empowering back office staff with administrative controls in Q2central and embedding the PIQS Risk Review into annual audit cycles, which reduced manual review work for nearly 900 originators requiring examination. Reported benefits from the project included streamlined operations, easier administration, faster incident resolution, and improved account holder satisfaction, while vendor collaboration was characterized as an ongoing partnership to deliver scalable product enhancements.
