FGV Palm Industries Consumer Packaged Goods 5300 $1.5B Malaysia Salesforce Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud CRM 2022 n/a
In 2022 FGV Palm Industries onboarded Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud as part of a CRM initiative, with project work extending from April 2022 to March 2023. The engagement included project management and system administration for Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud CRM through user acceptance testing, positioning the application for sales and merchandising operations support. The implementation focused on configuring sales operations and retail merchandising workflows within Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud CRM, and establishing system administration processes to support day to day use. Functional capabilities implemented emphasized sales order tracking, merchandising monitoring for perishable fresh fruit products, and UAT governance to validate workflows before broader release. Parallel to the Salesforce onboarding the team developed a custom in house ERP and WMS using Office 365 tooling, Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, Excel 365, and PowerBI to centralize stock monitoring and forecasting. This work addressed daily stock balance, fulfilment, procurement, and supply chain visibility for 12 AeonBIG hypermarket retail outlets in Klang Valley and additional customer channels, and was run alongside Salesforce onboarding rather than described as a system replacement. Governance and process changes were led using Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, with coaching and training to cultivate a data driven culture and adoption of cloud based Office 365 collaboration tools. Operational outcomes explicitly recorded include management of eight new food product development projects to create downstream products intended to increase profit margin, restructuring of logistics delivery schedules that cut logistical wastage by up to 50 percent, and reduction of errors and waste previously caused by manual WhatsApp, paper, and Excel based processes.
George Weston Foods, Ltd. Consumer Packaged Goods 7000 $2.5B Australia Salesforce Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud CRM 2019 n/a
In 2019, George Weston Foods implemented Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud as its CRM. The initial deployment targeted field sales transformation, B2B commerce and contact centre modernization across GWF, including work scoped to the Tip Top brand, with an emphasis on aligning commercial execution and customer service workflows. Core functional modules deployed included Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud for trade and retail execution, Salesforce Sales Cloud for field sales enablement, Salesforce Service for contact centre and case management, and Salesforce Experience Cloud to host B2B ordering portals and partner self service. Configuration work emphasized account and contact management, order orchestration and mobile field data capture, along with territory management and promotion support consistent with consumer goods selling models. The implementation integrated with SAP Successfactors for HCM related processes, and with UKG and Affinity for rostering, time and attendance and payroll modernization as part of broader workforce changes. Reporting and analytics were aligned with AWS and Tableau, and the CRM program was coordinated alongside an ERP transformation program and Business Intelligence modernization initiatives. Governance was led by the Head of Digital Transformation and Programs from September 2019, connecting business and functional transformations to digital initiatives and benefits realisation. The rollout layered change management and project governance to embed CRM driven workflows into commercial operations, contact centre and HR processes, and to support Integrated Business Planning and B2B commerce capabilities.
