In 2013, BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Luxembourg implemented TotalSoft Charisma Document Management as part of a broader TotalSoft Charisma ERP deployment, addressing regulatory and operational requirements in the leasing business. The project targeted Document Management alongside Point of Sale, Core leasing functionalities and Accounting to achieve SEPA compliance and to replace an 18 year AS400 based in house leasing solution that was becoming difficult to maintain.
The implementation delivered a suite of functional modules including Charisma ERP modules for Point of Sale and Core leasing functionalities, Accounting, the TotalSoft Charisma Document Management system, a Business Intelligence module and a centralized DWH for reporting. Data migration from the AS400 system was completed within two months, and the Point of Sale Web Leasing portal was configured with a web enabled front end to support 600 sales force users and credit analysts concurrently. The Document Management System was configured to store documents in context, making any document produced by Charisma electronically accessible and reducing manual file handling.
Integrations and operational coverage included DWH based reporting used for BI and internationally centralized BASEL 2 reporting, with interfaces developed to comply with complex rules and data management for advanced BASEL 2 methods. The deployment was hosted on shared technical infrastructure with BGL BNP Paribas, enabling the sales network and dealer channels to access the same centralized database that held roughly 8,000 clients and 30,000 contracts, of which 3,000 clients with 10,000 contracts were active at the time of implementation.
Governance and rollout followed a three phase program, with the first stage prioritized to meet SEPA requirements coming into force in February 2014. Review and approval of the project were completed in two months, development continued through November 2013, and the tightly scheduled execution was achieved through close collaboration between TotalSoft's implementation team, BGL BNP Paribas IT specialists and BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions key users. Subsequent phases addressed CRM, automated processes for Collection, Remarketing, Legal and Repossession, with e care and workflow support planned for later stages.
Reported results in the case study emphasize execution speed and quality, noting no negative customer impact during the critical migration at the end of 2013. The TotalSoft Charisma Document Management implementation increased continuity of document access, enabled automated credit line granting, streamlined end to end processes, centralized reporting and documentation of employee know how, and supported a new sales channel through dealers outside the bank network.
