Operational governance was formalized through new service level agreements and application tiering, coupled with change control improvements to reduce outage risk. Automated testing and reporting from Veeam Availability Orchestrator was instrumented to validate end to end recovery plans and document achievable RPO and RTO, with test windows short enough to run during business hours. The program addressed material operational risks that had produced outages up to 36 hours and eliminated reliance on an extensive tape estate that cost approximately fourteen thousand dollars per month and included over 10,000 tapes.
