American University in Dubai | Education | 400 | $70M | United Arab Emirates | ZKTeco | ZKTeco SpeedFace | Time Clock (Hardware) | 2024 | n/a |
In 2024, American University in Dubai implemented ZKTeco SpeedFace facial-authentication terminals as a Time Clock (Hardware) access-control/security deployment. The initiative focused on campus entry points to centralize physical access and monitor staff and student movement across the UAE campus.
Implementation deployed SpeedFace-V5L facial-authentication terminals paired with Mars-B1000 controllers and SBTL2011S swing barriers, with device management and event aggregation handled by ZKBio CVSecurity. The configuration emphasized real-time face recognition, gated entry workflows, and centralized credential provisioning consistent with Time Clock (Hardware) functional patterns.
Systems integration connected terminal authentication events to the swing barrier hardware to enforce entry decisions and to ZKBio CVSecurity for centralized monitoring, audit logging, and dashboarded access status. Operational coverage included staffed campus entrances, with the architecture designed to reduce queuing and improve peak-time throughput while enabling unified monitoring of staff and student access.
Governance was concentrated through ZKBio CVSecurity, enabling centralized credential lifecycle control and consolidated access logs for operational oversight. The access-control/security deployment in the UAE is reported to have improved peak-time throughput and enabled centralized management and monitoring of staff and student access.

Howmet Aerospace | Aerospace and Defense | 23300 | $6.6B | United States | ZKTeco | ZKTeco SpeedFace | Time Clock (Hardware) | 2020 | System Design Associates |
In 2020, Howmet Aerospace deployed ZKTeco SpeedFace SF1008+ terminals as part of a Time Clock (Hardware) deployment to strengthen employee screening during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. The deployment used the ZKTeco SpeedFace application for face and palm recognition combined with thermal screening to perform fast face-matching and temperature checks at employee entry points. This was executed as a security and HR access-control rollout to accelerate screening and control gate access.
The implementation integrated ZKTeco SpeedFace with DSX access control, enabling automated gate control based on biometric authentication and temperature thresholds and feeding detailed access events into the DSX logging layer. System Design Associates served as the systems integrator for terminal provisioning, DSX integration, and onsite configuration of biometric templates and thermal calibration. Functional capabilities implemented included face recognition, palm recognition, thermal screening, fast face-matching algorithms, and automated gate actuation via the DSX interface.
Operational coverage was within the United States and focused on access control workflows for security and HR at employee entry points. Governance changes aligned temperature screening with access policies and configured DSX rules to allow or deny entry based on biometric match and thermal criteria, creating an automated screening gate workflow. The project delivered fast face-matching, accurate temperature checks and seamless DSX integration, resulting in automated gate control and improved employee safety.

Vinfast | Automotive | 17823 | $1.8B | Vietnam | ZKTeco | ZKTeco SpeedFace | Time Clock (Hardware) | 2023 | n/a |
In 2023, VinFast deployed ZKTeco SpeedFace at its Hai Phong manufacturing complex, establishing a Time Clock (Hardware) backbone for security and HR time-attendance operations. The implementation used approximately 148 SpeedFace M4 terminals distributed across factory entrances, FaceDepot 7BL units fitted on staff buses, and ZKBioCVSecurity for gate, vehicle and bus boarding control, positioning VinFast ZKTeco SpeedFace Time Clock (Hardware) to serve both access control and payroll attendance capture.
The architecture is an integrated biometric and access control topology, with SpeedFace M4 terminals providing on-site facial recognition for employee entry and the FaceDepot 7BL units enforcing boarding validation on staff transport. ZKBioCVSecurity coordinates gate, vehicle and bus boarding control and centralizes event streams into reporting used by operations and security, supporting automated employee entry, bus boarding and parking access. Operational scope is the Hai Phong manufacturing complex in Vietnam, and the deployment explicitly targeted security, HR time-attendance, gate throughput and centralized reporting for operations and security, with improved throughput across gates and consolidated attendance and access logs for centralized analysis.
