In 2018, Ausnet implemented Egencia as its Travel Management application. The deployment established Egencia as the corporate travel booking and management layer integrated into SAP financial and procurement workflows.
Implementation included SAP interface automation for FICO and L&P, configuration of P2P automation, and integration with OpenText VIM for invoice capture and processing. Project leadership involved Geomatic Technologies, Fraedom and Egencia, with a principal consultant responsible for SAP P2P and OpenText VIM automation activities.
Operational scope targeted finance and procurement functions within Ausnet, with delivery executed from Melbourne under a contract spanning June 2018 to February 2021. The technical architecture linked Egencia to SAP via automated interfaces to enable expense posting, accounting entries and P2P processing.
Governance emphasized SAP automation ownership and cross functional workflow controls for booking, expense posting and invoice reconciliation, aligning Travel Management processes with FICO and accounts payable operations. The engagement focused on systems integration and process automation across travel, expense and core SAP financial modules.
