Configuration and module-level work focused on typical Point Of Sale capabilities, including payment processing and omnichannel transaction capture, integration points for POS client and server components, and local transaction routing and receipt handling. Server-side components and supporting services were provisioned on virtual machines, while client and server applications were configured to rely on existing backup, print, and file services managed by IT. Operational coverage for the Enactor Omnichannel Payments deployment included desktop POS endpoints, client/server application stacks, and underlying network infrastructure. Support activities documented during the project included Windows 7, 8 and XP client support, IP telephone setup and physical LAN patching for data and voice, configuration of VoIP iPath user accounts and password reset processes, AV presentation and video conferencing support, and creation of guest user accounts on Wi-Fi infrastructure. Governance and operational handover emphasized user account and group planning, simplified documentation of network and application procedures, and standard operational tasks such as deploying virtual machines and managing client/server network resources. These governance steps supported ongoing administration of Enactor Omnichannel Payments within UK Power Networks IT operations.
