The Star Entertainment Group | Leisure and Hospitality | 8000 | $2.3B | Australia | Oracle | Oracle Identity Manager | Identity and Access Management (IAM) | 2016 | n/a | In 2016 The Star Entertainment Group implemented Oracle Identity Manager as its enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. The implementation began alongside three major transformation programs, Finance Transformation, Procurement Transformation, and Point of Sale Transformation, with a Senior Enterprise Solution Architect engaged from July 2016 to January 2018 to provide program architecture and delivery oversight. Oracle Identity Manager was configured to provide core Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities including identity lifecycle management, role based provisioning, entitlement modeling, and automated provisioning workflows. Delivery activities included business case development, RFI and RFQ creation for product and solution selection, detailed solution design and architectural review, and use of TOGAF principles to shape governance and target state identity models. The deployment architecture integrated Oracle Identity Manager with multiple enterprise components explicitly referenced by the program, including Oracle HR integration with SAP Success Factors, Webmethods ESB and an Axway API Gateway, and AWS infrastructure designs that supported related cloud services. The IAM implementation was aligned to adjacent technology streams such as Opera POS and Symphony POS, Oracle Procurement iProc, DocuSign, MAXIMO, enterprise content and reporting platforms, and facility and security systems to centralize access controls across finance, procurement, point of sale, facilities, and HR functions. Governance was executed through Architectural Design Authority reviews, C level presentations, and steering committee engagement. The Senior Solution Architect role led architectural review and governance responsibilities, guided production cutover sequencing, and ensured that solution delivery, configuration management, and entitlement governance followed the approved architectural policies. Oracle Identity Manager functioned as the central Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution within the Star Entertainment Group architecture, providing a structured framework for identity lifecycle, provisioning automation, and cross system access governance across the identified business functions. | |
