Bank of Queensland Banking and Financial Services 3567 $1.1B Australia SailPoint Technologies SailPoint IdentityNow Identity and Access Management (IAM) 2019 n/a In 2019, Bank of Queensland implemented SailPoint IdentityNow as its Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. The deployment was led from the bank's Cyber IDAM team and focused on centralizing identity governance, lifecycle provisioning, and access certification for the institution's Australian operations. SailPoint IdentityNow was configured to deliver identity governance, automated user provisioning and deprovisioning, role and entitlement management, and access certification workflows. The implementation included custom connector configuration and scripting for automation, with PowerShell and Python used to extend provisioning logic and run reconciliation tasks. The deployment integrated SailPoint IdentityNow with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory to synchronize identities and with CyberArk to coordinate privileged access workflows and privileged account lifecycle controls. The implementation emphasized authentication and authorization controls, encryption and PKI awareness, and operational handoffs between identity governance and privileged access management processes. Governance and process workstreams aligned IdentityNow configurations and privileged access procedures with known frameworks including NIST, ISO, Privacy, PCI-DSS, and APRA. Operational responsibilities centered on a dedicated Cyber IDAM function, which handled configuration, administration and troubleshooting, while enforcing policy and procedural controls for privileged access.
