Clipper Logistics PLC Distribution 9148 $851M United Kingdom Isotrak Isotrak ATMSi Fleet Management Fleet Management 2016 n/a In 2016, Clipper Logistics PLC implemented Isotrak ATMSi Fleet Management, a Fleet Management application, within its transport operations. The deployment was centered on the transport department at Rotherham and supported management of a fleet of vehicles used for global brand returns and outbound delivery schedules. The installation targeted operational control of daily dispatch, maintenance alignment, and supervisory oversight of returns processes. Isotrak ATMSi Fleet Management was configured to provide vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, driver duty coordination, and dispatch visibility, reflecting standard Fleet Management functional workflows. Configuration work included aligning delivery windows with maintenance windows and codifying a training and maintenance matrix for the transport department. The matrix was designed as an operational artifact to standardize maintenance and training practices across the network. The implementation was integrated with Clipper staff experience tools and systems referenced in operational notes, including SAP, JDA Duty Manager, JDA Dispatcher, Ship Station, and Tacho master, enabling data exchange between fleet telematics, duty management, and order processing workflows. Operational coverage extended from the Rotherham transport hub to reuse of process artifacts across the wider network, supporting returns processing and new customer solution design. Business functions impacted included transport operations, maintenance planning, driver management, and customer onboarding for logistics services. Governance and rollout were managed within the transport organization, with the training and maintenance matrix used as the primary governance instrument to enforce schedules and roles. Outcomes explicitly reported include a streamlined delivery schedule aligned to maintenance, broader adoption of the training and maintenance matrix across the network, and a transport solution produced for a prospective customer.
Clipper Logistics PLC Distribution 9148 $851M United Kingdom Vision Unique Equipment VUEcloud Fleet Management 2017 n/a In 2017, Clipper Logistics PLC implemented VUEcloud as part of a Fleet Management pilot to further reduce fleet risk and accelerate incident reporting. The pilot was executed at the London depot and covered twenty rigid and articulated vehicles within Clipper’s wider fleet of 266 vehicles operating across 44 locations and 8.3 million square feet of warehousing. The technical deployment combined vehicle-mounted cameras and onboard recorders with cloud-hosted evidence management, VUEcloud. For rigid vehicles VUE installed forward facing, nearside and reverse cameras, an in cab monitor and a hard drive recorder, the in cab monitor automatically displayed the nearside camera when indicating left and the reverse camera when reverse gear was selected. Articulated vehicles received forward facing and nearside cameras, an in cab monitor and a hard drive recorder, and driver facing cameras were added to provide visibility of driver behavior for training and safety review. Operational integration centered on VUEcloud as a secure, cloud based video sharing and incident evidence platform, with a VUEcloud account provisioned for Clipper Logistics to share footage with Allianz and other stakeholders. Training was delivered for depot staff on downloading footage from the recording units and on using VUEcloud, and ongoing support was provided by VUE’s dedicated support team throughout the trial period. The solution therefore combined edge recording hardware, in cab user interfaces, and cloud hosted evidence management to support Fleet Management workflows for claims and risk handling. Governance and process changes focused on incident management and FNOL workflows, with explicit training on evidence capture and secure sharing protocols. During the trial VUEcloud footage validated a driver account in one incident and quickly disproved a staged claim in another, allowing Clipper to defend claims and preserve driver records. Clipper subsequently confirmed a wider rollout of VUE equipment across the fleet, and the project delivered an improved process for handling incidents and reduced average days to reporting for FNOL.
