Culina Group United Kingdom Transportation 22000 $2.8B United Kingdom Digital Applications International Limited DAI Matflo TMS Transportation Management 2020 n/a In 2020, Culina Group United Kingdom implemented DAI Matflo TMS as part of a coordinated Matflo suite rollout. The deployment targeted Transportation Management across Culina's chilled distribution network in the UK and Ireland, with a specific emphasis on network-wide transport planning and driver management. The implementation combined multiple Matflo components, including Shared User Matflo WMS for fully RF-instructed chilled warehouse operations, Matflo TMS for multi-leg transport planning, scheduling and delivery orchestration, Matflo 360° for centralized inventory and supply chain visibility connected to each site’s WMS, and Matflo Integrator to centralize and standardize integrations. DAI Matflo TMS was configured to operate alongside these modules to support planning, driver management and operational reporting within the Transportation Management domain. Integrations were centralized through Matflo Integrator, enabling connection into around 150 different end customers and supporting rapid onboarding of new customer IT landscapes. The solution was deployed across multiple chilled distribution sites and designed for rapid replication when new sites are acquired, with Culina routinely provisioning Matflo systems into a new site within a two week period. Operational coverage spanned warehousing operations, transport planning and driver management functions across the Culina chilled estate. Governance and support were structured around a single coordinated 24x7 support channel provided by DAI, underpinning ongoing serviceability and iterative evolution of the system. The Matflo suite, including DAI Matflo TMS, was rolled out across the entire Culina chilled distribution centre estate, delivering consolidated visibility across sites and enabling more effective operational decision making to support efficiency and the end customer experience.
Fowler Welch Distribution 1300 $450M United Kingdom Manhattan Associates Manhattan Active Inventory Inventory Management 2018 n/a In 2018, Fowler Welch implemented Manhattan Active Inventory. The deployment positioned Manhattan Active Inventory within Fowler Welch's Inventory Management operations, with documented use by the Stock Controller at the Spalding site to support day to day inventory control and stock lifecycle management. The implementation centers on core inventory control and location management capabilities, including creation of stock profiles, logging and tracking stock locations, and orchestrating distribution activities. Reporting and analytics functions were configured to produce operational reports and KPI sheets, enabling routine audits and daily area checks. The system supports FIFO handling rules and a workflow for identifying exceptions through POOR reports, with procedural steps defined for corrective actions. Operational scope covers inventory, logistics and warehouse functions at the Spalding site, with the Stock Controller liaising with staff, customers and suppliers to maintain accurate product inventory records. Governance includes scheduled audits, ongoing KPI monitoring, and a process where POOR reports feed into corrective action workflows to preserve stock integrity. Manhattan Active Inventory is therefore serving as the primary Inventory Management application for Fowler Welch's stock control activities.
