Crowley Transportation 7000 $3.5B United States Trimble Trimble Fleet Tracking and Visibility Real-Time Transportation Visibility 2019 n/a Crowley implemented Trimble Fleet Tracking and Visibility in 2019, deploying the application within the Real-Time Transportation Visibility category. The engagement supported more than 50 customer companies, including La-Z-Boy and Amazon, with Crowley operating the Trimble Visibility application for shipment visibility and tracking across its transportation operations. Implementation activities centered on functional validation and operational configuration, testing core tracking functionality and executing JSON requests for creating and updating shipments through Postman. Trimble Fleet Tracking and Visibility was used to manage shipment lifecycle events, enable API-driven shipment provisioning and updates, and produce mobile visibility outputs, while shipment and mobile reports were designed using SISENSE / Periscope for customer analytical review. Data integrity and integrations were addressed through SQL-driven diagnostics to identify and resolve data mismatches and data flow issues in the tracking database, coupled with API integration work via JSON requests. Reporting integration with SISENSE / Periscope and API-based workflows tied the application into transportation and logistics business functions, supporting shipment creation, real-time tracking, and customer-facing analytics workflows. Governance and operational process work focused on QA-led issue management, documenting and reporting bugs to Trimble development, and submitting feature requests. Those feature requests were recorded and delivered fixes that resolved defects and improved product functionality, establishing an iterative feedback loop between operations, reporting teams, and product development.
