UD leaders and students opted for a virtual format and engaged Brandlive to accommodate a global guest list and a requirement to support over 10,000 live attendees, with the event assembled in 13 days. The implementation leveraged Brandlive’s Event Management capabilities including large-scale streaming capacity, live chat for guest interaction, and closed-captioning for accessibility. Brandlive Events platform capacity is stated to support over 1 million attendees, and UD’s deployment recorded over 2,500 chat comments during the live show. Functional scope centered on the Office of Communications & Marketing, University leadership, select Class of 2020 participants, prominent alumni, and special guests, with friends and family attending globally. The Brandlive Production team partnered with UD to create a visual design strategy that aligned the event appearance to the University of Delaware brand and to execute the scripted program elements. Operationally the rollout emphasized rapid production and coordinated content and accessibility workflows to meet the fixed academic calendar milestone. UD sought a memorable, university-branded experience, and configured the Brandlive Event Management platform to deliver live interaction, captioning, and branded presentation within the specified timeframe.
