Telefonica | Communications | 100870 | $43.0B | Spain | MATRIXX Software | Matrixx Dynamics Billing | Subscription and Recurring Billing | 2021 | n/a | In 2021, Telefonica selected MATRIXX Software’s Matrixx Dynamics Billing as the converged monetization engine for Telefonica Germany. Matrixx Dynamics Billing was deployed as a cloud native converged charging and monetization platform to consolidate charging across consumer, enterprise and fixed services and to provide Subscription and Recurring Billing capabilities as part of the overall billing stack. The implementation centers on converged charging and real time monetization capabilities, covering rating, billing orchestration, subscription lifecycle management and account charging functions consistent with subscription and recurring billing workflows. The configuration supports both consumer and enterprise product catalogs, and the inferred subscription and recurring billing module is integrated into the monetization flow to manage recurring invoicing and entitlement enforcement. Architecturally the deployment is cloud native and Telefonica Germany announced a B2B billing launch on Google Cloud with Confidential Computing in 2022, indicating the platform runs on Google Cloud infrastructure with elevated runtime protection. The platform is positioned to integrate with network charging elements and existing BSS and OSS components to unify charging events, converged balances and billing records across fixed and mobile domains. Operational scope focuses on Telefonica Germany with rollout oriented toward consolidating consumer, enterprise and fixed service billing and launching a cloud based B2B billing platform. Governance emphasized platform centralization for converged charging and phased rollouts, culminating in the publicized B2B billing availability on Google Cloud in 2022. | |
