Transdev | Transportation | 95086 | $10.1B | France | CARL Software | CARL Source Transport | Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) | 2011 | n/a | In 2011, Transdev selected CARL Source Transport from CARL Software as its Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) for the Rabat tram project. The vendor was chosen in April 2011 and the implementation was underway with a target to be operational at the beginning of July 2011 to support the newly opened tram in Morocco. The CARL Source Transport deployment focused on core CMMS capabilities typical for transport operations, including an asset register for fixed installations and rolling stock, preventive maintenance scheduling, work order management, spare parts and inventory control, and technical documentation management. CARL Source Transport was configured to support maintenance planning, execution and failure tracking workflows tailored to tramway operational needs. Operational coverage centers on Transdev maintenance and operations teams responsible for the Rabat tram, encompassing both fixed infrastructure and rolling stock maintenance processes. The implementation narrative emphasizes integration into day to day maintenance operations, with CARL Source Transport serving as the central maintenance application to coordinate teams, tasks and asset records. Governance and rollout were accelerated to meet the tram opening timetable, leveraging CARL Software experience in the transport sector as a key selection criterion. The program was executed in a compressed timeline to ensure passenger safety and the availability of equipment, objectives stated as primary drivers for the CARL Source Transport implementation. | |
