The implementation was delivered as part of a mixed architecture program that combined cloud platforms, on-premise systems and SaaS solutions, using both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies. The FIS Trax deployment was integrated into a heterogeneous payments and settlement landscape, with explicit interfaces to on-premise FIS Quantum and OpenText EDI and connectivity to SaaS and market systems including SalesForce, SWIFT, Finastra CMS, ZEMA, Compendia, DTCC and Regis-TR. The work was aligned to Shell's Cash Management digitalisation strategy and S/4HANA MBC, and included bank connectivity with Shell’s primary banks, Citi and Standard Chartered Bank. Governance and operationalization emphasized portfolio roadmap definition and simplification to market standard projects, with active business partnering across Treasury stakeholders. Operational governance included software lifecycle management and total cost of ownership oversight for more than 160 applications in the portfolio, and restructuring of Treasury payment workflows to centralize Payment Processing through FIS Trax.
