Kuwait Oil Company Oil, Gas and Chemicals 11713 $16.6B Kuwait KCS KCS SmartCard & Credential Management Identity and Access Management (IAM) 2023 n/a In 2023, Kuwait Oil Company implemented KCS SmartCard & Credential Management as its Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution to strengthen security and centralize credential lifecycle management across its Kuwaiti facilities. KCS SmartCard & Credential Management was provisioned to address both physical access control and IT authentication use cases, aligning the Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform with corporate security objectives. The implementation focused on smartcard credential management and access-control integration modules, including enrollment and issuance workflows, credential lifecycle and revocation processes, PIN and multi-factor authentication support, and certificate lifecycle management consistent with smartcard deployments. Configuration work included role-based provisioning templates and enrollment station setups to support on-site issuance and administrative control of smartcard credentials. Integrations were scoped to bridge physical access control systems and enterprise IT authentication services, enabling the same credential to be used for site entry and network logon. Deployment architecture used a centralized credential management server with distributed enrollment and revocation endpoints at major facilities, supporting coordinated operations between security, IT, and facilities management teams. Governance centered on centralized credential lifecycle policies, standardized issuance and revocation procedures, and audit logging to support operational controls and compliance requirements. Rollout was organized by site and functional owner, with process changes to consolidate credential issuance, role-based access assignments, and routine credential maintenance under a unified Identity and Access Management (IAM) practice.
