J D Wetherspoon Retail 41754 $2.6B United Kingdom SocialPilot SocialPilot Platform Social Media Management 2017 n/a In 2017, J D Wetherspoon implemented the SocialPilot Platform as its Social Media Management solution to centralize scheduling and analytics for corporate social channels. The deployment targeted the Marketing function and the MCPD team, with the SocialPilot Platform used to create, schedule and publish posts across the company’s social feeds and to produce analytics for governance meetings. Configuration emphasized content scheduling, campaign calendar management, and analytics reporting modules within the SocialPilot Platform. Teams used scheduled post queues, campaign tagging and exportable engagement and reach reports, with data exports formatted specifically for MCPD meeting packs and planning sessions. Operational workflows linked social publishing to the Sitecore CMS for digital content management, enabling reuse of web content assets and alignment between website articles and social posts. Operational scope spanned the MCPD, the in-house digital agency and marketing teams responsible for estate-wide event promotion, including planning and briefing for initiatives intended to roll out across the whole estate. Governance introduced a centralized content approval workflow and a regular reporting cadence, with reach and engagement analytics integrated into MCPD meetings to inform creative briefs, POS artwork and event marketing. The implementation formalized content production handoffs, scheduling responsibilities and analytic reporting ownership across marketing stakeholders.
