Honolulu Board of Water Supply Utilities 350 $184M United States Oracle Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP Financial 2013 Denovo Honolulu Board of Water Supply implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in 2013 as its centralized ERP Financial platform, establishing a single system of record for municipal accounting and reporting. The Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne deployment later advanced to EnterpriseOne 9.2 under a Denovo engagement to address evolving public sector accounting requirements. Denovo configured and delivered targeted functional capabilities, creating OPEB reporting to satisfy GASB 75 and implementing code current Lease Management functionality to prepare for GASB 87. These efforts focused on financial reporting, lease accounting flows, and retrofit of customizations within Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2, with testing support and tools upgrades included. The workstreams aligned JDE financial modules and reporting output to government accounting rules for accurate external statements. Denovo served as the systems integrator and managed services provider, offering code current as a service and the option to deliver updates in either cloud or on-premises environments or into a customer preproduction environment at the Board’s discretion. The engagement drew on Denovo’s public sector expertise across accounting, payroll, procurement, and inventory to ensure chart of accounts and transactional flows supported municipal water utility operations. Operational coverage emphasized finance and accounting functions used by the Board’s fiscal teams. Governance of the program used a code current delivery model that included CNC support, project management, identification of update impacts, and retrofit testing, with up to two code current projects allowed every twelve months. The implementation produced OPEB reports to meet GASB 75 requirements and implemented Lease Management readiness ahead of the GASB 87 June 2021 deadline, positioning Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to support compliant government lease and postemployment benefit reporting.
Honolulu Board of Water Supply Utilities 350 $184M United States Oracle Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Accounts Payable AP Automation 2013 Denovo In 2013, Honolulu Board of Water Supply implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Accounts Payable as a focused AP Automation deployment. Denovo served as the implementation partner with a Senior Technical Consultant acting as technical lead on the engagement and driving upgrade and configuration activities. The engagement centered on configuring the Accounts Payable functional stack within Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, executing retrofit objects for an 8.0 to 9.1 upgrade, and delivering AP-specific automations. Technical work included custom enhancements and the development of interfaces supporting AP workflows, together with designing AP and payroll check layouts using BI Publisher to support electronic and printed payment outputs. Architecturally the effort was performed against the JDE EnterpriseOne application tier, with retrofit of existing E1 objects and integrated BI Publisher reporting for check generation. Integrations implemented as part of the AP Automation scope connected the Accounts Payable module to the institution payroll system and AR subsystems through bespoke interfaces and enhancement routines. Governance and rollout activities were led by the Denovo Senior Technical Consultant, including 9.1 net change technical training for internal staff, technical object retrofitting, and hands-on cutover support to prepare the system for production. The engagement emphasized code-level enhancements, interface stabilization, and knowledge transfer to operational teams to sustain the AP Automation environment.
