The implementation focused on RELEX Supply Chain forecasting and replenishment capabilities, using AI and machine learning to generate longer horizon forecasts that capture seasonality and demand factors relevant to hospitality peaks. RELEX Supply Chain was configured for automated replenishment and exception-based management, which reduced manual workload by automating routine tasks and highlighting planner exceptions for rapid intervention. Operationally the project centralized the consolidated forecast and supply plans to give a holistic view of stock positions across the business and distribution centres, enabling planners and supply chain management to review KPIs from a single source of truth. The deployment emphasized demand planning, inventory optimization and replenishment workflows, with configurable alerts and exception management to surface deviations for planner action. Governance was shifted to a centralized supply chain function that owns the consolidated forecasting and supply planning process, enabling ongoing review of key performance indicators and continuous improvements to planning cadence and workflows. Explicit outcomes reported include significantly improved product availability, a corresponding reduction in inventory value and lower manual workloads, along with more precise forecasts and optimized inventory across Bunzl Catering Supplies.
