Groupe SEB Australia | Manufacturing | 60 | $10M | Australia | SAP | SAP Business One Material Requirements Planning (MRP) | Inventory Management | 2011 | n/a | In 2011, Groupe SEB Australia implemented SAP Business One Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to support Inventory Management and centralized supply planning for its Australia and New Zealand operations. Groupe SEB Australia SAP Business One Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Inventory Management Business Function was configured to manage finished goods master data, material requirements planning runs, and production order orchestration across its small manufacturing and distribution footprint. The implementation configured core MRP capabilities including demand to supply reconciliation, bill of materials maintenance, production order creation and receipt, and landed cost capture. SAP Business One Material Requirements Planning (MRP) was used to create and maintain item masters, pack structures, and finished goods reservations, and to drive cycle count and inventory reconciliation workflows required by corporate logistics. Operational integrations and touchpoints included APO for upstream planning coordination, Pi2 for item creation workflows, 3PL warehouse systems for receipts and kitting, and freight forwarder interactions for inbound shipment tracking. The MRP implementation supported end to end supply planning across AU and NZ warehouses, intercompany coordination with factories in China and France, and daily follow up on open and in transit purchase orders to meet ETA requirements. Governance and process changes centered on strict master data controls, a documented invoicing and coding sheet for freight and 3PL charges entered into SAP B1, weekly out of stock reporting, and root cause analysis loops involving Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations. The rollout emphasized operational procedures for landed cost entry within 24 hours of container receipt, cycle count execution per Groupe SEB corporate logistics, and structured communications and exception handling for replenishment and promotional stock failures. | |
