Apps Purchases: 10+ Million Software Purchases
Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?
Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.
Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

In 2010, the United States Census Bureau implemented Caliper Maptitude GIS and Mapping as a Maptitude-based MAF/TIGER Partnership Software solution to produce and validate address lists, TIGER maps, and traffic analysis zones supporting the 2010 decennial census and transportation tabulations. The deployment used Caliper Maptitude GIS and Mapping to centralize digital map production and validation workloads across federal and partner organizations, replacing paper map workflows with electronic geoprocessing and map authoring. The implementation aligns with Geology and Seismic Data Processing,Advanced Subsurface Mapping,Geographic Information System tooling for spatial data management and map production.
The solution implemented functional capabilities for address list validation, TIGER map generation, traffic analysis zone creation, geocoding and batch spatial processing, and map editing and printing reduction. Configuration emphasized automated validation routines and QA workflows to support consistent geographic accuracy across submitted partner data, and Maptitude-based tooling was used to standardize geoprocessing and cartographic output for downstream tabulation consumption.
Operational coverage encompassed thousands of state, local, and tribal participants across the United States using the MAF/TIGER Partnership Software workflows, with outputs feeding census tabulation pipelines and transportation data products. The implementation integrated with MAF/TIGER partnership processes to ingest and validate partner-submitted address and boundary data, and the produced TIGER maps and traffic analysis zones were provisioned to downstream geography and tabulation teams for funding and redistricting uses.
Governance was organized around the MAF/TIGER partnership model with partner review and validation workflows to control geographic edits and attribution, and rollout prioritized reducing paper map production and accelerating spatial data processing. Explicit outcomes included reduced paper map production, improved geographic accuracy, and accelerated processing for downstream funding allocation and redistricting uses as part of the 2010 decennial census program.
