Affidea Portugal | Healthcare | 2000 | $300M | Portugal | SAP | SAP S/4 HANA - Sales and Distribution (SD) | Supply Chain Management | 2020 | n/a | In 2020, Affidea Portugal implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Sales and Distribution (SD) within its Supply Chain Management footprint, establishing a project focus on secure access to order-to-cash, fulfillment, and sales configuration processes. The initiative was scoped to align authorization design with operational sales and distribution workflows across business units in Portugal, while embedding S/4 HANA authorization controls into core supply chain operations. The implementation included detailed SAP S/4 HANA security and authorisations design, with development of user roles and profiles for SAP S/4 HANA modules including FI, MM, and SD, and explicit orchestration for SAP Fiori based access. SAP S/4 HANA - Sales and Distribution (SD) authorisation work encompassed Fiori Launchpad catalogue and group assignments, role adjustments for Fiori applications, and the transition of traditional SAP GUI roles into Fiori role models to preserve consistent access patterns and user experience. Integrations implemented as part of the security scope included SAP GRC Access Control components such as Risk Analysis and Remediation and Emergency Access Management, and operational connectivity with internal audit processes for system access logs and compliance reporting. Cross-functional collaboration was defined between project teams, business units, and audit stakeholders to validate segregation of duties requirements and produce required authorisation documentation. Governance work streams focused on SME-led role governance, day-to-day troubleshooting of user role conflicts and access restrictions, and ongoing maintenance of authorisations as SAP S/4 HANA and Fiori updates were applied. Design responsibilities emphasized compliance with segregation of duties and audit requirements, embedding GRC controls into role lifecycle processes, and formalizing role change procedures to support secure, repeatable supply chain access management. | |
