AutoZone Brazil Automotive 1500 $400M Brazil RELEX Solutions RELEX Demand Planning Demand Forecasting and Planning 2023 n/a
In 2023 AutoZone Brazil implemented RELEX Demand Planning to standardize distribution center planning and align Brazil operations with the RELEX deployments already used in the U.S. and Mexico. RELEX Demand Planning is deployed as a Demand Forecasting and Planning solution to centralize demand forecasting and replenishment workflows for AutoZone Brazil distribution centers. The implementation leverages RELEX configurable forecasting and replenishment capabilities, emphasizing demand forecasting, automated replenishment recommendation, exception management, and ordering efficiency. The RELEX Demand Planning deployment is described as highly configurable, enabling planners to adjust forecasting parameters and exception rules to accommodate Brazil specific sourcing and vehicle model diversity. Operationally the scope targets distribution center supply chain operations across Brazil, with the solution integrated conceptually into AutoZones broader North and South American DC supply chain footprint by leveraging the existing RELEX solution used in the U.S. and Mexico. The implementation addresses a previously highly manual and independent supply chain setup in Brazil, bringing planning workflows into the same application family used elsewhere in the region to improve consistency and scalability. Governance changes focus on faster decision making and enhanced exception management, shifting ordering and planning processes toward system-driven recommendations and centralized planning practices. Outcomes stated by AutoZone and RELEX include improved demand forecasting, reduced inventory levels, better in-stock availability and service levels at DCs, and targeted cost savings through improved flow of goods.
