Property Company of Friends | Construction and Real Estate | 1500 | $200M | Philippines | SAP | SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management | Analytics and BI | 2013 | n/a | In 2013 Property Company of Friends implemented SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management to centralize planning and profitability analysis across its Analytics and BI stack. The engagement was delivered as a focused SAP PCM 10.0 and SAP BPC 10 NW implementation, designed to support enterprise planning, forecasting and budgeting workflows for the real estate business. The implementation covered a broad set of functional modules, including Annual Budgeting and recurring Annual, Quarterly and Monthly planning cycles, product package studies with input schedules and reports, phasing and product mix planning, inventory planning, sales planning and forecasting, construction planning, revenue planning, cashflow planning, manpower planning, and CAPEX and OPEX reporting. Consolidated financial reports and dashboard visualizations were provided, with dashboards integrated using BusinessObjects Xcelsius. Top down allocation logic and script-based allocation routines were developed to operationalize horizontal and vertical allocation workflows. The solution architecture included design of the overall business planning and forecasting architecture, input schedule and report templates, and scripted logic for allocations and data movement. Integrations were explicitly implemented for data retraction to SAP ECC, targeting CO and PS modules, and to SAP RE FLEX, using script logic and BADI extensions to ensure transactional posting and reconciliation. The deployment reused BusinessObjects components for dashboarding and reporting to provide a unified Analytics and BI surface. Project delivery was executed for the APAC region with onsite and remote support from a SAP BPC Subject Matter Expert and Senior Solution Architect, spanning January 2013 through March 2013 over a three month engagement. Governance emphasis was placed on phased delivery, standardized input schedules, scripted allocation controls and data retraction workflows to enforce planning discipline and reconciliation between the planning application and SAP transactional systems. | |
