Apps Purchases: 10+ Million Software Purchases
Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?
Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.
Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

Connectwise | Professional Services | 3100 | $300M | United States | Nintex | Nintex Promapp | Process Mining | 2019 | n/a | In 2019, ConnectWise implemented Nintex Promapp as a Process Mining application to consolidate process documentation and standardize process management across its business units. The deployment targeted four distinct groups at ConnectWise, ConnectWise Automate, ConnectWise Sell, ConnectWise Control and ConnectWise Manage, where duplications, clones of material, process variations and outdated documents were tangling systems and slowing operations. The implementation centered on Nintex Promapp process mapping and the process variant management add-on, combined with the platform's visual workflow authoring and feedback capabilities. The team configured the feedback tool and variant management to support succinct, role-focused process documents, and ran dozens of training classes so staff could author and iterate process maps consistently, which also enabled early experiments using sprint style feedback cycles. Nintex Promapp was integrated with the company SharePoint system to preserve existing document links and simplify discovery, and the ConnectWise documentation team began using Nintex Promapp for onboarding content. Operational coverage includes more than 100 staff logging in and authoring processes each week, a captured library of close to 1,500 key processes, and adoption signals from nearly 1,000 colleagues across the business. Governance shifted to a single-source variant model where one change author updates the canonical process and Nintex Promapp pushes the modification to related variants while notifying stakeholders. ConnectWise applied Agile style trials for proposed process improvements, using timeboxed tests and feedback to decide whether to keep or revert changes, which reduced local cloning and improved cross-team communication. Explicit outcomes reported by ConnectWise include a projected reduction in process library storage of about 75 percent due to variant consolidation, faster modification cycles compared to prior timelines that could take weeks or months, and regular use of the feedback mechanism to drive iterative improvements. The Nintex Promapp implementation materially supported more consistent process management, streamlined variant handling and improved internal communication across ConnectWise, with the full application name Nintex Promapp and the Apps Category Process Mining central to the deployment narrative. | |
