The implementation migrated warehouse operations from Korber HighJump Warehouse Edge (Formerly AccellosOne WMS) and moved ERP records from Microsoft Dynamics GP into a unified Business Central deployment, aligning the Warehouse Management application with the company IT roadmap overseen by the IT Director. The deployment focused on Warehouse Management core capabilities, including inventory control, receiving and put away workflows, directed picking and packing, shipping orchestration, cycle counting and lot and serial tracking. Configuration work emphasized warehouse location management, replenishment rules and barcode scanning workflows to bring operational warehouse processes into Business Central transaction flows. Architecturally the effort centralized warehouse operational modules within a single Business Central instance, consolidating inventory and financial master data to reduce reconciliation overhead between systems. Operational coverage extended across warehouse operations, supply chain and finance teams, with Business Central serving as the single source for inventory ledgers and transaction history. Governance and rollout were conducted in the context of an IT strategic roadmap, with a security strategic plan that addressed gaps against the CIS 8 security framework and service desk operations optimized under ITIL principles. The program also included improved data recovery systems and reduced downtime to mitigate data loss risk, and was managed within an annual IT budget framework.
