The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Logistics Execution System (LES) rollout was executed as part of a broader, companywide SAP program and was completed in less than six months, delivering a consolidated enterprise backbone for supply chain and financial processes for a 350 person, $50 million revenue chemical manufacturer. Functional modules configured included Materials Management and Inventory Management MM/IM, Sales and Distribution SD, Logistics Execution LE, Production Planning PP, Quality Management QM, Plant Maintenance PM, and core financials FI/CO, with the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Logistics Execution System (LES) providing warehouse and transportation execution capabilities. Configuration work focused on transfer order processing, goods receipt and issue flows, picking and packing logic, shipment creation, handling unit management, and integration points to support order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows. The implementation integrated SAP LE with External WMS and External TMS solutions to exchange inventory status, transfer orders, shipment notices, and freight execution events, aligning warehouse control and carrier orchestration with SAP master data and transactional postings. Operational coverage encompassed supply chain, manufacturing, warehouse operations, quality, maintenance, and finance teams, with interfaces designed to keep inventory valuation and delivery status synchronized between systems. Governance was structured as a cross-functional program with centralized configuration control, cutover planning, and role-based testing cycles to enable a rapid end-to-end go-live. Training and process alignment emphasized warehouse execution and transportation workflows within the Logistics Management scope, and the program was reported as successfully delivered within the stated sub-six month timeframe.
