American International Group (AIG) | Insurance | 25000 | $47.3B | United States | IgniteTech | IgniteTech Computron | ERP Financial | 2012 | n/a | In 2012, American International Group implemented IgniteTech Computron as an ERP Financial application. The implementation supported daily ETL of transactional data from multiple front end systems via Middleware/Genex into the Computron financial system to secure data flow and integrity. Operational scope included month end processing, posting of transactions from sub ledgers, and monthly reconciliation of production and claims data across departments. Core modules provisioned included Expense Cycle Management ECM, Purchase Cycle Management PCM and Journal Cycle Management JCM, with scoping, user acceptance testing and super user support documented as part of rollout activities. The team also configured allocations, month end expense reporting across all departments, and maintained financial system master data and reference tables. IgniteTech Computron V15 upgrade was executed with extensive UAT across implemented modules. Integrations explicitly implemented were ETL via Middleware/Genex and connector workflows with Concur for expense reimbursement back end support and UAT scoping. The deployment handled posting of sub ledger transactions into the general ledger and maintained users and authorisers on both financial and banking systems to control transaction approvals. Operational coverage spanned finance and accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury interactions, with the Systems Accountant acting as the interface to IT. Governance practices established included reconciliation and close processes to reconcile and close sub ledgers and the general ledger to support timely reporting, and maintenance of master data to reduce reconciliation friction. Process transformation activities included formal UAT procedures, super user enablement and documented knowledge transfer to outsource partners in India to support ongoing operations. The implementation institutionalized workflows for expense, purchase and journal cycle management within the ERP Financial environment. The program included facilitation of transfer of knowledge to outsource partners in India and ongoing super user support for Computron and Concur configurations, aligning operational ownership between F and A and IT for month end and expense cycle management. | |
