Occidental Petroleum Corporation | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 11973 | $36.6B | United States | Oildex | Transzap Oildex OpenInvoice | AP Automation | 2010 | n/a | In 2010, Occidental Petroleum Corporation implemented Transzap Oildex OpenInvoice as an AP Automation solution to standardize invoice approval and processing across its accounts payable function. The deployment positioned Transzap Oildex OpenInvoice to manage invoice intake, electronic routing, and approval controls, bringing AP Automation capabilities into core payment operations. The implementation emphasized invoice capture, structured approval workflows, invoice processing and exception handling as primary functional modules, with configuration to reflect company approval hierarchies and invoice lifecycle stages. Transzap Oildex OpenInvoice was configured to support automated invoice validation, exception routing and audit trail capture, aligning functional workflows with established AP controls. Concurrently the program introduced OpenTicket as a digital field ticketing solution to link operations activity to payment workflows, enabling integration of operations data with payment data and near real-time visibility into spend. Integration between OpenTicket and Transzap Oildex OpenInvoice connected field ticket records to invoice records to improve ticket-to-invoice reconciliation, reducing manual handoffs between field operations and accounts payable. Governance focused on aligning field validation rules with AP approval policies and centralizing exception resolution processes to preserve invoice integrity and control release of payments. The combined use of Transzap Oildex OpenInvoice and OpenTicket was intended to streamline workflow, help integrate operations data with payment data, and provide near real-time visibility into spend as part of operational and financial controls.

Occidental Petroleum Corporation | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 11973 | $36.6B | United States | Velosi Asset Integrity Ltd | Velosi VAIL-PLANT | Enterprise Asset Management | 2019 | n/a | In 2019, Occidental Petroleum Corporation deployed Velosi VAIL-PLANT as an Enterprise Asset Management solution to establish a Risk Based Inspection program and Asset Integrity Management capability for Groupement Berkine HBNS and El-Merk field assets in Algeria. The deployment targeted pipelines, pressurized equipment and piping across onshore field facilities, with an explicit scope to enable RBI and FMECA based risk assessment and inspection optimization for those asset classes. Velosi VAIL-PLANT was customized to provide scheduling, prioritization and execution workflows for inspection plans, and to support database management and structured data collection for risk assessment. Key functional modules implemented included PEMS, PIMSON, PSVMS, WHIMS and ISMS, which together formed the core Asset Integrity Management System and supported pressurized equipment management, pipeline integrity, pressure safety valve tracking, wellhead integrity and inspection schedule management. The implementation combined software provision with associated professional services, including the conduct of RBI and FMECA studies, preparation of maintenance plans, and the creation of inspection guidelines. The program delivered Standard Operating Procedures for safe execution of inspection activities, and on-site training to develop designated staff capability to operate Velosi VAIL-PLANT and sustain inspection planning and data collection processes at GB facilities. Governance was formalized through the delivery of RBI Study documentation, the FMECA Study and Maintenance Plan, SOPs, and the operational ISMS module to manage inspection schedules. The engagement emphasized procedural controls, inspection governance and operator training to embed the new Enterprise Asset Management workflows into ongoing asset integrity operations at the Groupement Berkine HBNS and El-Merk sites.
