Department Of Justice Tasmania Government 1784 $300M Australia Fusion5 Fusion5 EmpowerHR Core HR 2005 n/a In 2005, Department Of Justice Tasmania implemented Fusion5 EmpowerHR for Core HR, establishing a centralized human resources platform across the department. The deployment served the Human Resources function for a workforce of 1784 employees and provided a single source of employee master data, position control, leave and flexible work records, and performance management workflows consistent with Core HR capabilities. Fusion5 EmpowerHR is referenced by the Department in ongoing requests to extend self identification of workforce diversity attributes. Configuration work focused on standard Core HR modules, using employee records and performance management components to surface workforce diversity and flexible work data for managers. The Department has used EmpowerHR data to inform internal reporting and workforce planning, and has advocated for additional functionality within Fusion5 EmpowerHR to capture self identified diversity attributes as part of broader HR data collection improvements. Operationally the system is maintained by the Department’s Human Resources function and its outputs are shared with working groups and Output Managers across the Department of Justice Tasmania. Governance and accountability were reinforced through the People Strategy and the establishment of a Manage and Lead Implementation Committee which provided input on inclusive leadership and system requirements. System related activities were aligned with policy and workforce initiatives, including rollout of the Workplace Adjustments Policy in late 2019, implementation of a Flexible Work Policy and Options Guide in November 2019, and departmental training where over 800 employees completed the Disability Confident Workplaces e learning modules. The Department continues to pursue EmpowerHR enhancements to improve capture of self identified diversity data to support workforce planning and reporting.
Ramco Group Kenya Manufacturing 4000 $300M Kenya Kissflow Kissflow HR Core HR 2022 n/a In 2022, Ramco Group Kenya implemented Kissflow HR to standardize and automate Core HR processes across its manufacturing operations in East Africa. The deployment focused on automating routine workforce workflows for a roughly 4,000 person employee base, with the East Africa Kenya rollout identified as the operational scope in the vendor success story. Kissflow HR was configured to handle core process automation including leave applications, employee onboarding and employee offboarding, using form-driven workflow orchestration and approval routing to enforce consistent process steps. The implementation leveraged Kissflow HR capabilities for workflow automation, task assignment, and status tracking to reduce manual handoffs and improve auditability of HR transactions. Operationally the project standardized processes across IT, Finance and HR teams, creating cross-functional process flows that link HR lifecycle events to downstream IT and Finance tasks. The deployment concentrated on process orchestration and interdepartmental coordination rather than named system integrations, aligning approvals and notifications between the three functions. Governance emphasis centered on standardized forms, approval chains and process templates to drive consistency in onboarding, offboarding and leave management, with rollout described at the country level in Kenya. As reported in the vendor success story, the Kissflow HR deployment yielded explicit outcomes, saving more than 30 hours per week and reducing process cycle times by roughly 35 to 45 percent.
