Parallel to the ECC rollout ACH Food Companies implemented SAP BW with BW Accelerator to deliver high-performance reporting, and designed a Cognos Sales Data Warehouse that standardized reporting and replaced 1,500 inconsistent ad hoc queries. Technical delivery used offshore staff augmentation in ABAP, Informatica, and .NET, and data quality tools were applied for conversion of customer, vendor, and material records to support go-live data integrity. Governance was driven by an architectural roadmap developed with senior management, with the Manager of Application Architecture overseeing architecture teams, data conversion, and rollout sequencing, and also managing cloud hosting for marketing websites and a SharePoint intranet rollout. Report performance targets and conversion outcomes were explicit, with BW Accelerator enabling reports to run in 10 seconds or less, and data conversion activities documented to have saved $3M.
