Bank of Canada | Banking and Financial Services | 2100 | $2.3B | Canada | Openlink | Openlink Cloud | Global Trade Management | 2020 | n/a | In 2020, Bank of Canada implemented Openlink Cloud, deploying ION Openlink version 17 as its front-to-back trading, treasury, and risk management platform. The deployment delivered straight-through processing across front office to back office workflows, and included risk valuation, regulatory reporting, and accounting capabilities under the Global Trade Management application category. Openlink Cloud configuration at the Bank of Canada included trading, treasury, and risk management modules, with explicit configuration of corporate actions workflows and flexible collateral management functionality. The implementation leveraged enhanced real-time risk analytics and portfolio monitoring capabilities that are part of Openlink version 17, enabling automated lifecycle handling for collateral and support for multi-asset trading operations. Operational coverage spanned central bank trading desks through back-office accounting and risk teams, extending the Bank’s long running use of the platform that began in 2001. The solution was delivered as the cloud option of Openlink version 17, reflecting the vendor’s dual on-premises or cloud deployment model, and supported end-to-end settlement and reconciliation workflows within core treasury operations. Governance emphasized a tightly coordinated vendor relationship, with phased upgrade sequencing and testing to avoid operational disruption. The upgrade to Openlink version 17 was completed ahead of schedule and under budget, demonstrating accelerated upgrade tooling and implementation efficiencies built into the Openlink Cloud offering.

AhorraMas | Retail | 1800 | $450M | Spain | Dematic | Dematic IQ | Logistics Management | 2020 | n/a | In 2020 AhorraMas implemented Dematic IQ as part of a Dematic turnkey intralogistics project at its Velilla de San Antonio distribution center in Madrid. The implementation is classified as Logistics Management and centralized control for an automated storage and transport solution to optimize footprint and throughput within an existing warehouse. The physical deployment consists of a six storey automatic storage system installed inside an existing warehouse, coupled to conveyors and an electrified track for continuous pallet transport. The transport topology covers goods reception through to expedition using gravity channels and conveyor routes, and supports both Europallets and half pallets with a storage capacity of about 8,000 Euro pallets or 16,000 half pallets. Dematic IQ serves as the operational and lifecycle management platform, unifying operational data, control logic and management information to support order fulfillment and real time operational decision making. Dematic IQ is integrated with AhorraMas existing WMS, and it orchestrates fulfillment workflows and the automated storage and electrified track subsystems to deliver adaptability, reliability, efficiency and speed. Operational scope spans receiving, storage, order preparation for AhorraMas stores and expedition, while previously manual processes in the facility were automated to improve operation and worker safety. The installation entered operation in June 2019 and Dematic reported a positive engagement with AhorraMas, with the system used to manage both pallet handling and distribution center lifecycle activities.
