Timbercreek Communities | Construction and Real Estate | 600 | $53M | Canada | Yardi | Yardi Voyager Residential | Real Estate Property Management | 2005 | n/a | In 2005, Timbercreek Communities implemented Yardi Voyager Residential as its Real Estate Property Management platform to centralize accounting, leasing, maintenance, and resident services. David Melo, president of Timbercreek Communities, led the decision to engage Yardi to provide stronger technology to manage complex accounting needs and to enable ancillary solutions across the portfolio. The implementation covered portfolio-wide consolidation and established Voyager as the system of record for core property management functions across Timbercreek’s operations. Yardi Voyager Residential was configured to deliver core accounting and reporting, automated guest card entry at the site level, and workflowed accounts payable processing. Timbercreek adopted Yardi PAYscan for AP automation, enforcing invoice to PO matching and designated approver workflows, and enabled mobile approvals through the PAYscan mobile app. The company also rolled out RENTCafé resident portal functionality and Yardi Maintenance with mobile service workflows to replace manual email intake and routing for service requests. Integrations were executed within the Yardi product family, with RENTCafé and Yardi Maintenance integrated to Voyager to provide seamless resident service request intake, work order initiation, and status updates. Site-level automation for guest card entries feeds real-time information into Voyager, reducing manual head office data entry. The PAYscan mobile approvals capability extended AP processing to traveling staff and decentralized approver workflows while keeping approvals tied to Voyager’s financial ledgers. Governance and operational change emphasized appointing internal Yardi champions who own solution components and drive adoption across Timbercreek’s organization, including its 430 onsite employees. Process restructuring focused on automated workflows for invoice approval and resident maintenance intake to improve accuracy and responsiveness. Reported outcomes include faster conversion of prospects to residents, improved cost control, and greater end-to-end operational efficiency tied directly to Yardi Voyager Residential implementations. | |
