Compass Group | Leisure and Hospitality | 580000 | $42.0B | United Kingdom | Infor | Infor WFM Workbrain | Workforce Management | 2011 | n/a | In 2011, Compass Group implemented Infor WFM Workbrain as its Workforce Management platform to standardize workforce scheduling and time capture across its multinational foodservice operations. The deployment of Infor WFM Workbrain supported enterprise scheduling, time and attendance, rostering, and labor forecasting capabilities consistent with Workforce Management applications, and it was positioned to interface with enterprise payroll and HR systems for operational payroll processing. Configuration work emphasized functional modules for shift rostering, exception management, and time capture, with configuration designed to support integration into payroll and HR feeds. The implementation architecture used API integrations and standard data export workflows to populate downstream systems, and later program activity by Compass solution teams referenced SAP Payroll and SAP HR as part of the broader application ecosystem. Subsequent projects led by a Solutions Architect between December 2021 and September 2023 included enhancements to Infor WFM components and new WFM initiatives, incorporating identity and access frameworks such as Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, single sign on and multi factor authentication, and platform services including Microsoft Azure and cloud resilience patterns. Data orchestration and reporting connections were implemented using Azure Data Factory, data lake storage, and Microsoft Power BI, while integration middleware and message routing leveraged IBM Integration Bus and API based connectivity alongside IVR and Timegate integrations in adjacent workforce tooling. Governance and rollout artifacts were produced using TOGAF aligned Solution Architecture Documents, Key Decision Documents, and roadmaps to coordinate stakeholder approval and phased implementations across HR, operations, and site management functions. Architecture considerations included high availability, resilience and disaster recovery design, identity and access management, and standardized operational handover procedures for the Infor WFM Workbrain environment. | |
