MagTarget Distribution 15 $2M United States Odoo Odoo eLearning Learning and Development 2022 n/a In 2022, MagTarget implemented Odoo eLearning as part of a broader, companywide Odoo application suite hosted on Odoo.sh, addressing its Learning and Development requirements for a 15 person distribution manufacturer based in Milpitas, CA. MagTarget implemented Odoo eLearning alongside a comprehensive set of Odoo modules to consolidate previously fragmented workflows and to centralize training, onboarding, and knowledge retention across the small operations team. The deployment included Odoo eLearning, Knowledge, Employees, Attendances, Dashboards, Inventory, Barcode, Point of Sale, Manufacturing, Quality, Accounting, CRM, Sales, Purchase, Documents, Helpdesk, Website, IoT, and other modules listed in the implementation. Odoo eLearning was configured in tandem with the Knowledge and Employees modules to standardize learning content and link course completion to employee records, enabling a compact training lifecycle suitable for a 15 person workforce. Dashboards were instrumented to surface real time production and order status alongside learning compliance indicators for operational visibility. Architecturally the solution runs on Odoo.sh after an initial period on Odoo online, providing a cloud hosted, browser accessible environment that the CEO and remote staff can access from trade shows or overseas. The deployment leverages the Odoo IoT box to automate label printing in the warehouse, tying Inventory, Barcode, and Manufacturing workflows to physical printing hardware for reduced manual steps. Web based access and integrated modules eliminated the previous disconnect between sales and inventory applications, enabling visibility into forecasted stock directly from sales orders and quotes. Rollout was CEO led and included change management as staff adapted to standardized processes, with initial resistance noted and overcome through configuration and training. Governance focused on unified record keeping in Employees and Documents, and governance of order to fulfillment workflows through Inventory and Sales modules. Explicit outcomes reported by leadership include clearer inventory forecast visibility, automated label printing via the IoT integration, and configurable Dashboards that provide live production and order monitoring. MagTarget is also developing an Odoo App to control tablet enclosure light color to surface meeting room status through Odoo Meeting Rooms, demonstrating an extensible use of the Odoo platform.
